    • Red Ribbon Week starts next week on Wednesday. Our website has list of Red Ribbon Spirit Days to help us stay drug free!
    • Tuesday, October 22nd - Family Math Night from 4:30-6:30 pm -- Join us for fun activities, free hot dogs, and information what to expect in math during 2nd 9 weeks
    • Also Tuesday at the beginning of Math Night is our Annual Title I Meeting at 4:30 pm in the cafeteria
    • Report Cards go home Wednesday

    • Reading - creating mental images as we visualize in our reading
    • ELAR - using commas in a series of events, as well as dates
    • Math - building on previous concepts from unit 1, using base 10 blocks, place value, and expanded notation - using those to add together numbers and solve word problems

    3rd grade, MES
    • ELAR tests for reading and writing
    • When reading with your children this weekend, practice proving their answers about who, what, when, where and why in their stories
    • Practice letter writing, we worked on parts of a letter, find a family member or friend to mail a letter to
    • Starting multiplication, students will see groups, area, and arrays in real life. Practice 2s, 10s, and 5s

    4th grade, MES
    • Practice multiplication because starting division on Monday!
    • Math resource packet going home for practice
    • Field Trip - coming up in November, $7/child. Need help with chaperones - complete volunteer background check. (…/ Email or call our Parent Liaison, Cassie Donathan, to follow-up. Orientations held Monday at 2 pm in the cafeteria., 254-336-1870)
    • End of unit testing this past week in 4th grade, give some extra love!

    • Next week starting to multiply and divide decimals - practice multiplication facts this weekend to prepare!
    • Reading - talking about figurative language - idioms, onomatopoeia, practice identifying them in our stories and using them in our writing

    A special thank you from Ms. Tedford for your tremendous support to Meadows during the Follett Book Fair. The book fair brought Meadows a total of $2,334.01 in profits, which is used to keep our library up-to-date and stocked with the best books and resources for our children!

  • Math Night & Annual Title I Meeting

    Join us at school for a night dedicated to celebrating math!

    Family Math Night

    The Title I meeting will be held in the cafeteria at 4:30 pm while we provide dinner for your family.

    The event lasts from 4:30-6:30 pm, see you there!

    Our theme this year is, “Send A Message. Stay Drug Free.”

    Send a message. Stay Drug Free.

    Students are encouraged to dress up and celebrate being drug free! All attire must be school appropriate and adhere to the KISD dress code. Children must also have the appropriate shoes for P.E.

    10/ 28 Monday – PEACE out drugs!

    Wear 60s clothes or tie-dyed.          

    10/29 Tuesday – Meadows is TEAMing Up Against Drugs!

    Wear your favorite team or Meadows gear.

    10/30 Wednesday – Use Your Head! Don’t Do Drugs! 

    Come to school with a crazy hat or crazy hair.

    10/31 Thursday– Have Character! Don’t Use Drugs!

    Dress like your favorite character. (No masks, hoods, or costume weapons)
