     * Students must change your password ON A COMPUTER before trying to use any services like

    Schoology or Home Access Center. Your old password or Welcome2KISD will be used to be

    prompted to change your password. 

     

     

    * Anyone who would like to join Wrestling Team please see Coach Daniel in room 1701 or Coach Menendez. 

     

     

     

    * Guest contracts for Homecoming dance are available in Student Activities. Guest contracts are due no later

    than September 20th. 

     

     

     

    If you care about your school, the earth, or need volunteer hours for your resume, consider joining Team

    Green. We are a student ran club that meets after school every other week to collect paper for recycling from all

    over the school. Volunteers are needed right away to clean the pickup bins so the first paper pickup can begin

    soon. Please stop by Mrs. Bernstein's art classroom 1106 for more information. 

     

     

     

    * Team Green will do its first paper pickup this Friday, September 20 beginning 7th period and continuing after

    school. We only pickup paper and cardboard, no plastic or paper that has touched food. Please place your paper

    recycle box in the hallway for easy pickup at the end of 6th and beginning of 7th period. If you are in a portable

    or outside classroom and would like your paper picked up, please email Mrs. Bernstein or stop by 1106. Again,

    please remember to place your recycle box in the hallway at the beginning of 7th period Friday, September 20. 

     

     

     

    * Seniors - don't forget to sign up for the scholarship emails on the guidance webpage. The following

    scholarships are now available on the guidance webpage and in the guidance office: Scholarship Data Bases

    Golden Door Scholarship due September 16th. Sons of the Republic of Texas Scholarship due January 31st. 

     

     

     

    *ATTENTION ALL GOLFERS! If you have a set of golf clubs and would like to qualify for our Varsity

    Harker Heights Golf Team, please see Mr. Walzel in room 2215. Our qualifying rounds will be at Stone Tree

    Golf Course on September 11, 16, and 18. You can still play golf if you are active in other sports. 

     

     

     

    * Join us for Robotics Club on the second and fourth Thursdays after school in room 2202. The first

    meeting will be Thursday, September 12 at 4:20 pm - 5:30 pm. You do not have to be a STEM Robotics student

    to attend.  

     

     

     

    * Anyone interested in earning volunteer hours by picking up the paper recycling from around the school,

    please stop by room 1106 this Friday at 4:15 for a 30 minutes meeting. 

     

     

     

    * Seniors the following scholarships are now available in the guidance office and on the guidance webpage: 

    Copperas Cove Dr. Martin Luther King Jr - due November 15th NAACP - due January 17th .

     

     

     

    * Any student who is interested in attending one of the military academies, The Central Texas U S Service

    Academies Form will be held on September 21. If you are interested and want to ride the KISD bus, you must

    get a permission slip from the guidance office and turn it in on September 16th. 

     

     

     

    * Homecoming tickets sale Sept 9th through the 20th are $15 and Sept 23rd through 27th are $20. The theme is

    “A Knight of Royalty”  

     

     

     

    * Class Officers applications are due September 13th by 4:00 pm. Homecoming Court applications are due

    September 13th by 4:00 pm. 

     

     

     

    * Senior Photos will be Sept. 17-19 during the student’s English classes. These are the formal photos and we

    supply the tux and drapes. These are on a proof basis and will be sent to your home address. The schedule:

    Miss Hunter & Ms. Johnson classes on Sept 17th Mr. Bennett & Ms. LeBlanc classes on Sept 18th Mrs. 

    Finkenhagen classes on Sept 19th. All graduating seniors with other English classes will go the auditorium

    lobby on one of the three days on their own time. Our hours of operation are from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. 

     

     

     

    * It's not too late to join Animation Art Club. Our next meeting is Monday, September 23 after school until

    5pm.  We will begin learning about acrylic painting. Hope to see you there!

    * Harker Heights Cinema Club will meet on Mondays after school at 4:15. Screenings last an hour and a

    discussion of the film will follow the completion of each movie. Students who are interested in film and

    engaged discussions are encouraged to attend. For any questions visit Mr. Marroquin in room 2305. 

     

     

    * Homecoming voting will be next week 23, 24, and 25 through Schoology. Make sure you vote! 

     

     

    *Attention Senior Girls - the Killeen Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Debutante program is

    now accepting applications through Monday September 23rd. Stop by the guidance office for more
