Eastern Hills Middle School opened in 1987 and encompasses grades 6, 7, and 8. We are one of twelve middle schools in KISD with an expected enrollment of 740 and a faculty and staff of approximately 90. Our colors are purple, and silver and our mascot is the panther. In the state of Texas, school performance and achievement are measured by the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR) exam.
Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) which is the state curriculum for school districts are approved by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). The EHMS current state accountability rating is met standard. Students taking Algebra I will also take the Algebra I End of Course exam.
