Sarah Salter grew up in an Air Force family, moving to various locations throughout the United States. She attended Arizona State University for two years, followed by Southwest Texas State University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, majoring in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science. After college, she married her Army husband and her career began in El Paso, Texas as a high school Algebra II teacher. Mrs. Salter has served in an educational capacity at Fort Irwin, Fort Leavenworth, Germany, El Paso, and for the past 16 years in Killeen ISD. She received her Master’s Degree in Education Administration and served as an Assistant Principal and Curriculum Director for 10 years prior to returning to the classroom for the past 2 years at ECHS teaching Algebra II and Pre-Calculus. At the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year, she returned to administration to serve as the 9th grade Assistant Principal at Killeen ISD Early College High School.
Mrs. Salter has a passion for providing a safe learning environment in order to serve all students. She believes every student can learn and deserves the best education KISD can offer. Through her various positions within the district, she has consistently held student success and well-being as priorities. In her free time, Mrs. Salter enjoys being with her family and friends, reading, and spending time outdoors.
