Ms. Kayla Dornon
I graduated from Temple High School in 2004. I then attended Texas A&M University-Central Texas, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2011. My teaching certification is Early Childhood-6th Grade with English as a Second Language. I also earned my Master of Education in Educational Leadership in 2015 from Texas A&M University-Central Texas.
Prior to becoming a teacher, I had the opportunity to work with children at Immanuel Baptist CDC in Temple. In 2011, I started teaching at Trimmier Elementary in kindergarten. I spent one year in kindergarten before moving to third grade for the next five years. I was given the opportunity to teach 2d and 4th grades the following two years. In summer school I have had experience teaching ESL Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2d grade, and 3d grade.
Family and friends are important to me. I have five nephews that I love spending time with. I have a dog named Sarge. I enjoy taking him for walks and to the dog park.
