Counselor - Ms. Duke
My name is Sarah Duke and I have been a Guidance Counselor at Union Grove Middle School since 2015. Prior to joining the Grizzly Nation, I was a Counselor at Live Oak Ridge Middle School, also in KISD. Currently, my caseload consists of all students with the last names L-Z. As your child’s counselor, my goal is to help create a safe, inspiring, and fun learning environment for our Grizzly family – Students, Staff, and Families.
Like many, I am a transplant from the east coast. I completed my Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Human Ecology at Cook College, Rutgers University in 2003. In 2004, I was accepted into the Teach For America program through which I taught special education on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico for five years prior to PCSing to Fort Hood with my husband. I earned a Master’s degree in Special Education from Western New Mexico University in 2007, and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University ~ Central Texas in 2012. I am a proud mom of three children, and enjoy spending any free time with my husband and kids playing outside!
I am here to help make you child’s middle school years as successful as possible, so please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have.
