Enrolling In Pre-Kindergarten

  • Pre-Kindergarten 3 is designed to help 3-year-old students learn how to socialize and engage in pre-school instruction.  Pre-Kindergarten 3 is not designed to accelerate instruction to move students into 1st grade earlier than their age would allow.

    To be eligible for enrollment in PK3 a child must be:

    • Three-years old on or before September 1
    • Reside in the campus attendance zone on Fort Hood (schools outside of Fort Hood do not offer PK3).
    • Be an active duty military dependent
    • Have immunizations up to date
    • Actively transitioning away from diapers/pull-ups, if not already fully potty-trained.

    Pre-Kindergarten 4 is designed to help 4-year-old students learn how to socialize and engage in pre-school instruction. Pre-Kindergarten 4 is not designed to accelerate instruction to move students into 1st grade earlier than their age would allow.

    To be eligible for enrollment in PK 4 a child must be:

    • Four-years old on or before September 1
    • Unable to speak &/or understand English; or
    • From a family whose income, according to standards set by the Federal Government, is at or below subsistence level; or
    • Be an active duty military dependent
    • Have immunizations up to date.
