Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Brittany Orr, and I teach Prekindergarten. I grew up in Indiana with my 4 brothers and three sisters. It was here I decided at a young age I wanted to be a teacher. We moved to Texas when I was 17, and I graduated Jarrell High School in 2008. After I graduated high school, I began my journey to be a teacher. I attended Texas State University with the intent to be a math teacher. After two years of interning and volunteering in classrooms I discovered my passion for working with younger students to help them reach their potential. I quickly changed my major from Math to Early Childhood Education. I graduated from Texas State University in 2013 with my Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education. Shortly after graduation I accepted a position at Harker Heights Elementary. This is my 5th year at Harker Heights Elementary, and my 4th year teaching Prekindergarten. I look forward to having an amazing year with my students.
At home I have an unbelievable family. I have been married to my supportive husband, Aaron, for 4 years. We have two children together. Kylie is 10 years old with a kind heart and an energetic personality. We also have a son, Keaton, who is 5 months old with a warm smile. In our spare time we enjoy watching movies, hiking, and playing board games.
This year is a good year to have a great year!
