The Board of Trustees revised the Academic Calendar to include a total of 7 Remote Learning Days and 7 additional early out days this year. The revised calendar was developed with the intent of teachers being provided the additional time needed to collaboratively plan and develop lessons that will benefit students in both environments the remainder of the school year. The first Remote Learning Day across the district is next Friday, November 6.
If your student is currently a virtual student, nothing changes for them on Remote Learning Days. Students are still required to log in to Seesaw or Schoology and complete their work before 11:59 p.m. each day.
In-person learners will be able to complete their assignments online or in writing from home on Remote Learning Days. Teachers will be communicating all required assignments for students to complete, as well as provide options for students who do not have access to a device or internet. Campus cafeterias, libraries, and gymnasiums will be open for students who need instructional support. Students that come to our campus will be required to work on their Remote Learning Day assignments. No new instruction will be delivered on these days. Students must complete the assignments to be counted present on Remote Learning Days.
Transportation will run as normal on Remote Learning Days and school nutrition will provide meals. If your child attends YCMA or Boys and Girls Club our campus after school, they will continue to provide care on Remote Learning Days.
For planning purposes, we are asking parents to fill out a quick 3 question survey by Monday, November 2nd at 8:00 a.m.. Please click on the link to help us prepare accordingly for our Remote Learning Days. https://bit.ly/34EYwDV
Once again, the first Remote Learning Day is on Friday, November 6.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
