Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Desiree Varga. I am a fourth grade ELAR/SS Teacher. I have been teaching for fourteen years. I had wanted to be a teacher since second grade! I loved playing school growing up. I was born in Stuttgart, West Germany. I was a military brat, so I moved from Europe to the states and lived in Oklahoma, North Carolina, and finally Texas. Since I grew up moving every two years, I really grew a love for traveling the world as a hobby! I love visiting other countries and learning about different cultures and traditions. One fun fact about me is my family and I play tag every single night inside our house! We love tag!! We have even taught our dog Bruce how to tag one other! He whimpers with excitement when the game commences! I went to school at Sam Houston State University and Tarleton state University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies Early Childhood through Fourth Grade. I also attended Kaplan University and earned a Masters of Science in Educational Psychology. Both degrees center around children! I love being a teacher! I am also married to a Veteran who is a seventh grade Math teacher. We have three kids: Isaiah, a senior at Ellison, Sebastian, a fourth grader and Gabriella, second grader.
