  • Dear Parents and Guardians,

Parents we need you help! Please save your BOXTOPS.  We are collecting them for our school.

Clip the Box Top from hundreds of participating products and send them to school. Each one is worth 10¢ when the school redeems them from Box Tops for Education. Just send them in with your student. Please ask friends, grandparents, relatives, neighbors, friends with no-child or no school age children and co-workers to clip and collect Box Tops for Venable Village Elementary School.

    Teacher of the Year

    Deirdre Robinson - 5th Grade

I am a proud veteran of the US Army where I served as a communication officer deploying to Southwest Asia in support of Operation Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom.  I am in my fourteenth year of teaching, two years in first-grade, eleven years in fourth-grade (four teaching Gifted & Talented students), and I am currently teaching fifth-grade math and science. I have a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Texas at Arlington. I have served as a mentor teacher for new teachers, grade level leader in both first and fourth grades and have served as a campus teacher lead for professional development.  I have served as a SBDM member, district textbook selection member, Science Olympiad coach for four years, district Science Olympiad judge for two years, and an active member of the Venable Village Instructional Rounds team.  I am committed to educating students and helping them overcome barriers that impact their learning. My goal is to always do what is best for students, meet them where they are, and provide them with a safe learning environment at all times.

         Ms. Deidre Robinson
