Daniel E. Helvetius Jr.
My name is Daniel E. Helvetius Jr. and I have been a member of the Killeen Independent School District community for 25 years. Once upon a time, I played football and basketball for Nolan Middle School, and played football and ran Track for Ellison High School. I received a Bachelor’s of Art in Mass Communication with a focus on television and radio production from Westfield State University (WSU). During my time at WSU, I played NCAA football and received a Student Achiever award from the Hall of Black Achievement Commission for distinguished academic achievement and community leadership. Early in my career as a professional educator, I served in the District Alternative Education Program. During that time, I developed a strong sense of purpose and communication skills that allow me to be highly effective as a Professional School Counselor. While teaching, owning a business and raising a family I earned a Masters of Education in Counseling from Texas A&M University-Central Texas. I hold certificates in Teaching and School Counseling in the state of Texas. Additionally, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor.
I am married to Crystal who is a Transportation Security Administration Supervisor. We have three amazing boys Anthony (10), Heydan (13) and Devine (16).
