Military and Family Life Consultant (MFLC)

  • The Child and Youth Behavioral Military & Family Life Consultant (MFLC), provided by the Department of Defense (DOD), are professional licensed consulting staff which offers non-medical counseling services to Service members and their families. They are available to observe, participate, and engage in activities with children and youth, provide direct interventions in classroom settings, suggest courses of age appropriate behavioral interventions to enhance coping and behavioral skills, and recommend referrals. At no time will the consultant meet individually with a child without being in line of sight of a staff member, or the parent or guardian of the child. If you do not want your child to receive any services from the Montague Village MFLC, you will need to send in a note signed by a parent or guardian to that effect. If you should have any questions, please contact the school at 254-336-2230.
