    Job Fair


    • Harker Heights Interact Club would like to present our first annual fundraiser event, Interact Color Eggstravaganza 5K. This event is to raise money for Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.), an organization dedicated to rescuing children from sex trafficking worldwide. Central Texas is one of the largest areas affected by sex trafficking. The 5K will take place on April 11th, 2020 at Harker Heights High School, 8am. Since our run will take place on Easter weekend, there will be an egg hunt, Easter bunny costumes encouraged, and fun for all ages!


    • Interact Club will be collecting items for Haybranch Elementary for their CIS program Until March 31st. Items needed are: toothbrushes, mouthwash, floss, toothpaste, hygiene items, healthy snacks, food items to take home, jackets (youth sizes), and socks. Other items are welcomed as long as it benefits the children 😊 please drop off donations to room 1110 or the front office!


    • Join the HHHS Mariachi! Coming Fall of 2020! Learn mariachi style and technique on guitar, vihuela, and guitarron while earning Fine Arts credit. Trumpets, violins, vocalists are also welcome! Contact Jeremy Cameron in room 1101 for questions or more information!


    • Teachers and students donate dead dry erase markers, markers, and highlighters to room 2103 so they can be recycled and not end up in the landfills.


    • Do you "Luv 2 Read"? If you do, stop in the library to sign-up for February's reading challenge.


    • The Harker Heights High School Bible Study Group will be meeting on Wednesdays right after school in Mr. Jacques room 1109.   Come join us for a time of study and fellowship in God’s Word. If you have any questions see Mr. Jacques in room 1109.


    • Dance Team Tryouts for 2020-2021 school year--- Students that are interested in trying out for the Crimson Belles or Rosettes Dance Teams need to attend the mandatory meeting on Thursday March 19, 2020 at 6pm in the cafeteria to receive the packet. Students MUST be zoned for HHHS. More information regarding the 2 dance teams are on the wall outside the dance room.


    • Make a Valentine for your Valentine is BACK! Create a one of a kind card or light up a flower for that special someone in your life. Supplies are limited. Stop in the library today.

    • The library wants to help you prepare for the Teen Job Fair with its resume workshop. The workshop will be during A & B Lunch on Tuesday, February, 18. Bring your lunch. All participants must sign up in the library.


    • Attention Juniors and Seniors the Career Expo 2020 at Fort Hood will be on March 4th for HHHS students. Students who are interested must sign up online and turn in the required permission slips by February 14th at 4:30pm to the counseling center.     • This weekend the Avalon Color Guard competed at Georgetown High School and came out with a 3rd place win! Congratulations Avalon! If you are interested in joining the 2020-2021 Avalon Color Guard please see Ms. Orner in the Band Hall.


    • Junior and Seniors the deadline to sign up for the next ACT is February 28th.


    • eniors - The following scholarships are now available: Kiwanis Club of Harker Heights – due March 31 Bell County Judge & Commissioners’ Committee of People with Disabilities/Rotary Club of Temple – due April 2.


    • Seniors - there are over 35 scholarships available in the counseling webpage and in the counseling center. Don't let this free money go to someone else. Contact your counselor or Ms. Shultz with any questions.


    • Seniors. would you like to apply for CTC? Mr. Pyeatt from CTC will be in computer lab room 1102 this Wednesday and Thursday during your English IV class. He will walk you through the CTC application process. To meet with him, check with your English IV teacher.


    • Interact club will be selling valentines candy grams during both lunches this week. grams will be delivered 5th period on Friday (valentines day). prices: small bag $2.00, large bag $3.00 or just the gram $1.00. if you would like for the gram to be delivered to another campus, it will cost $1.00 extra, and you will still need to know the teachers name. CASH ONLY!!!


    • Student if you are taking dual credit for the first time, you must sign up for the TSI exam on the counseling webpage. The next testing date is February 19th. You must sign up by 12pm February 18th. If you have any questions, please contact your counselor.


    • Attention Sophomore the Texas Oklahoma Kiwanis Foundation Sophomore of the Year scholarship is now available in the counseling center and on the counseling webpage. This $600 scholarship has a due date of February 28. If you have any question, please see Ms. Shultz.


    • Are you interested in being a cheerleader for the 2020-2021 school year? Bring a parent to the mandatory tryout meetings either on March 23rd in the auditorium or March 30th in the cafeteria at 6:30 to find out more information!


    • The Harker Heights Knights moved their record to 9-0 this past Tuesday at Hallmark Lanes by trouncing the Copperas Cove Bulldogs 16-1 to clinch the CENTEX District championship for their 6th district title in-a-row.  They were led by Jayce Borja with games of 261 and 234. Robert Davie, Jr. chipped in for the cause with a 258 game.  In a balanced attack, the Lady Knights overwhelmed a short-handed Lady Dawg squad 17-0 to sew up 2nd place in the district.  Shyanne Ciesiolka led all the ladies in scoring.  With one match left on the district schedule against the Shoemaker Grey Wolves on 17 February, the Knights bowlers are assured of a spot in the Regional Championships on Sunday, 1 March. Well done; keep it rollin’.


    • Friday, February 14th is bad food day. Clubs will be set-up in Student Activities hallway. Make sure you bring money!
