Ms. Sarah Davidson-Trehar

My name is Mrs. Davidson-Trehar and I am excited to start my first year here as the choir director! I grew up in Texas for most of my life but finished my high school years in the small town of Ponca City, Oklahoma.  After four years away from Texas I was ready to come back and decided to get my Bachelor’s in Music Education from Baylor University.  I graduated from Baylor in December 2018 and immediately started working at Montague Village Elementary School on Fort Hood.  I am so excited to join the Palo Alto team this year.

Music has always been a huge part of my life.  I grew up singing in my mother’s church choir since my school did not have a choir at the time.  When I moved to Oklahoma I was finally able to join choir at school, and it was the best choice I ever made.  The first year I did choir was the year that I felt I really had something special around me.  We quickly became a family and always had each other’s backs.  The choir room was our safe place and we went there as often as we could.  I chose to be a choir director because of the impact choir and my director left on me.  It was a place that I could express myself safely and do it with people I loved.  I want to create that same space for future students.  A safe place where they have a family at school and they can make music that could impact lives.
